Squeaky (gray and white) is the Welcoming Committee of the foster room because he immediately wants to befriend new arrivals. He LOVES other cats!
Squeaky and his brother, Stashy, were friendly strays being cared for outdoors by a kind homeowner until there was a spot in rescue for them.
Medical History: Both boys had what is called "pillow foot", which is an immune condition where the foot pads get inflamed by an infiltration of plasma cells.
Squeaky's paws had open sores and were bleeding when we rescued him from outdoors in August 2023. He was treated with the recommended course of medication (which was affordable) and has been fine ever since. His pads may always look a bit deflated or saggy, but that shouldn't bother him unless they crack and bleed. The condition may or may not reoccur.
Sweet and Gentle: Shy at first, he is so very sweet and has been making great progress in his foster home. He will come over to be petted at feeding time or when he wants attention.
Though shy, he is easy to pick up and handle, like when giving medication. He loves squeeze-up treats and wet food.
Snuggly: Squeaky can be picked up and held for snuggles. He will purr and stick his back leg out to show how much he enjoys it. (see picture).
LOVES other cats: We would love for Squeaky to be adopted with Stashy, but they can be adopted separately as long as they each go to a home with another cat. Both boys have LOVED every other cat they've been fostered with and will rub against them. Squeaky also likes grooming the other cats. He will playfully wrestle with anyone who wants to. He is great with adult cats or kittens.
A home with another cat: We'd love to see Squeaky go to a home with another friendly cat, or adopted with one, such as his brother, Stashy.
Good with dogs: Squeaky met the Great Dane in his foster home and quickly grew to feel comfortable. See videos here: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8GXJynJ/
Fully Vetted:He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed/flea treated, tested NEGATIVE for FIV/FelV, and is even microchipped.
Squeaky will need a special adopter who understands his sweet, gentle nature and, as with any cat, someone who would be able to treat any medical conditions when needed.
In return, he will show you how sweet and grateful he is for your love.
Special Needs: Had “pillow foot”, which may or may not reoccur
