Athens  is a handsome boy with beautiful green eyes.  He is independent and shy but starting to come out of his shell. He would do well in a home with other playful cats or kittens. He needs a little time to warm up to other feline friends but loves to play with them after he's warmed up to them.  He is still a bit wary of humans.  He will gladly accept pets and head scratches, but needs time until he's comfortable being picked up.  He is being fostered with another cat and dog.  The dog doesn't bother him at all and he'd do well in a home with a dog who lets him have his space.  He loves his foster friend, Roxie.  She's available too!

He wants a home with a window he can chill in.  He also loves to hide and sleep in small spaces where he feels safe but will gladly chill out in his favorite window spot. Athens is comfortable in a cage, hanging in his hammock and readily accepts head scratches, pets and his favorite -  lickable treats.   He needs a patient adopter who can  give him lots of love and time to open up and show his true personality.  He is neutered, tested and has all his shots.
