Banjo- Male, DSH orange/ white tabby
Approx. DOB: 2/22/15 (7 years old)
Banjo landed in a NYC animal shelter with his siblings when his previous owner went to a nursing home. Thankfully, FURR was able to pull him and give him a 2nd chance at a forever home!
Banjo was born with microphthalmia and is blind. He just had his double eye enucleation surgery so there's no risk of any infection or drainage in the future. He can do just about anything that a sighted cat can do. In fact, he loves to climb on to the top of a box and proudly sit there! He quickly learned how to navigate the house and where things are.
Banjo isn't super cuddly, but will sometimes sit on your lap, enjoys being pet, and allows you to pick him up. He has lived his whole life with other cats and is fine with the small child in his foster home. He likes playing with toys, especially catnip filled kitty kickers!
If you have any questions about living with a blind cat, we're happy to put you in touch with his foster mom! Special Needs: blind
