Meet Samuel, the cat who just waltzed into his foster family’s home like he owned the place. Samuel’s backstory is a classic "rags to riches" tale, though in his case, it’s more "stray to stay." He was a city kitty trapped to be TNRd, but his charm was so off the charts that sending him back to the streets was out of the question.

Samuel—also known as Sammy, Sam, the Samster, Sir Samuel S. Preston, Esquire—is a delightful cocktail of clumsy, chaotic, and irresistibly cuddly. He has the kind of personality that could win over even the most stoic of non-cat lovers, and boy, does he try. If you don’t like him, don’t worry—he’s made it his mission to convert you, one purr and headbutt at a time. This cat fears absolutely nothing. Sam might be lacking in worldly experience, but he more than makes up for it with pure, unfiltered chutzpah.

Here’s what we’ve learned about silly Sam:

— He’s a loving, feisty, funny little guy who could probably headline a comedy show. He’s probably close to about a year old.
— He’s the life of the cat party, getting along famously with his three foster cat bros. Roughhousing, chasing, cat naps—he’s got it all covered. Sam should really go to a home with another cat who likes to romp and play! He loves his foster brother cats so much!
— The family dog? Meh. Samuel’s indifferent.
— When he’s not zooming around like a feline tornado, he’s a certified lap-warmer, ready to snuggle at a moment’s notice.
— He’s great with the kids, especially the ones who know how to handle a cat with a touch of the crazies. He has a tendency to be a little play-bitey when he’s in goofball mode, but it is infrequent and playful. He enjoys when the kids in his foster home pick him up and carry him around. He seeks the kids out for pets and attention and follows them around the house.
— His meows could wake the dead, especially if there’s food involved. He’s got opinions, and he’s not shy about sharing them.
— Samuel’s litter box skills are top-notch. He did have a brief fling with rolling around in the litter, but that’s behind him now—he’s a reformed cat and has his house manners.
— Respectful with his claws. Very good with the scratching post.

In summary, Samuel is an undisputed favorite of his foster family. He’s an easygoing, hilarious, sweet little guy on the lookout for his forever home.
